200 years ago, Gilbert du Motier, the Marquis de Lafayette, stopped overnight in Worthington while on his thirteen-month goodwill visit to all twenty-five United States. As the biggest celebrity of his time, Lafayette's tour was of immense importance to the young United States. His visit highlighted the achievements of the Revolution and provided a contemporary window into the country's progress.

On September 7, the Northampton Survival Center will celebrate its community of clients, volunteers, donors, and other supporters at Sunset & Vines.
Wine will be available to purchase directly from Glendale Ridge Vineyard and food can be purchased from food vendors including the Local Burger truck, Wake the Dead Donuts, and Caravan Kitchen. If you prefer, you can bring a picnic dinner, but no outside alcohol is allowed.
Anyone can purchase a ticket to Sunset & Vines to celebrate with us! To be accessible to all, we’re offering tiered ticketing. The $15 general admission price reflects the true cost of the event per person, while higher tiers will cover the cost of admission in addition to supporting the Center’s work providing nutritious food to low-income folks around Hampshire County. Your ticket provides you with access to the vineyard for the evening to hear the band, hang out with friends and neighbors, and have some last-days-of-summer fun. Food and wine will be available for purchase from local vendors. Complimentary tickets are available for clients, volunteers, business sponsors, and children.
